End of October events

Oct. 20 is Literacy Night at Woodburn! 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Restaurant Night takes place Thursday, Oct. 27, at Silver Diner’s Merrifield location. PTA will receive a donation from a portion of sales from that evening, between 5 – 8 p.m. Be sure to bring your friends and family — and your appetites!

Did you know? You can register your Silver Diner loyalty card in the restaurant’s Eat Well Do Well loyalty program, and your purchases can benefit Woodburn all year long.

Plan ahead for November:

Nov. 7-8 are student holidays.

We’ll have our Election Day Bake Sale on Tuesday, Nov. 8. We’ll share the sign-up link by email and Facebook for sale items and volunteers.

The next PTA meeting takes place Thursday Nov. 10, in the Woodburn Library, at 7 p.m. On the agenda: Principal Chapin will discuss Woodburn’s proposal to bring Advanced Academics Local Level 4 to our school. This is an exciting development for our school!

Nov. 17, PTA is treating the students to an in-school assembly featuring Superhero Math!   Math Night will take place at school from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

2-hour early dismissal on Wednesday Nov. 23. No school on Nov. 24-25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

As always, check out our Calendar for up-to-date information (PTA events are in green).
