Generous neighbors from the adjacent Holmes Run Acres neighborhood have donated funds to support Woodburn. Members and attendees at the latest PTA meeting agreed to use the funds from our neighbors in a way that would honor the late Sarah Lahr, a Holmes Run Acres resident and long time Woodburn supporter. The proposed idea was a gift that would support both the school’s arts focus and the outdoor classroom area. The Outdoor Music Station, pictured here, was proposed by PTA members as a way to bring both beauty, art and nature together in an experience that students and staff can enjoy. The PTA is also soliciting ideas for ways to enhance the outdoor classroom in other ways. If you would like to help with this effort please contact Sharon Toda, PTA Vice President.
