Back to School: Important Dates

Get excited! It’s almost time to start the 2015-2016 school year. To help your child preview the upcoming year, please mark your calendars for these important, and fun, events!

Play Date for rising kindergarten and 1st graders
When:  Wednesday 9/2 from 9:30-10:30 AM
Where: Woodburn playground

Welcome Walk Teacher Visitation
When: Thursday 9/3 between 10am-1pm
Your child’s teachers will visit your home during that timeframe.

Back to School Open House & Dinner
When: Thursday 9/3 from 5:30-7:30pm at Woodburn
Note that this is the only Back to School night scheduled this year.
Teacher presentations will take place at 5:45, 6:15, and 6:45.

Hotdog supper will be offered in the cafeteria starting at 6pm. Or bring your picnic and join families outside at the playground.

Enrich Your School Year!

Looking for something for the kids to do after school? Woodburn PTA has some exciting enrichment offerings coming our way! Here are tons of enrichment classes to meet your child’s individual interests including:
  • Minecraft
  • Building with Legos
  • Engineering
  • Art
  • Tennis Club
  • Create 3D projects with STEMexCEL
  • Languages and World Cultures
  • Yearbook Club
  • Drama Club
  • Creative Writing
  • Step Team
  • Zumba anyone?!

Starting October 6th, clubs and programs will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Morning Clubs and Programs will start at 8:15, given the later school start time.  If you have any questions or interested in helping, please contact Sharon Toda at scuci76@gmail.com
