We had an overwhelming interest in the Intro to Game Design Course, and we are pleased to announce that a 2nd Game Design Class has now been added! This class will take place on Thursdays from 4-5pm; February 5-March 26th.
Thanks to everyone for your interest and support by registering for this after-school enrichment class sponsored by the Woodburn PTA.
This course provides an introduction to the basics of game design. Students will learn the process of designing and building games and then try them out with their fellow students. Students will learn to define and analyze the mechanics of player experiences of their games. Students will learn how to be a game designer, design narratives, learn to apply art and animation, programming roles, project teamwork, hardware and game platforms, and how to make a game from beginning to end. During and at the end of the session, students will be in possession of their game projects to share with friends and families. This Game Design course has been tailored for 2nd-6th graders.
